K-pop girl group ILLIT has secured their first music show trophy following their recent comeback. The five-member group, consisting of Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha, took home the top prize on KBS 2TV's "Music Bank" aired on June 27th with their title track "Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)" from their third mini-album "Bomb." 

Special Victory on Member's MC Show

The win held special significance as it occurred on the very music show where member Minju serves as an MC. ILLIT expressed their joy, stating, "We're so happy to win first place on 'Music Bank' where Minju is an MC. We believe this first place belongs to our fans, GLLIT. Thank you for always supporting us." 

During their encore performance, the members showcased their solid vocal abilities with charming live vocals. True to their pre-announced promise, they drew cat whiskers on their faces, bringing smiles to viewers' faces and adding a playful touch to their victory celebration.

ILLIT's addictive "Borrowed Cat" performance proved impossible to look away from. The group enhanced their feline concept with adorable accessories including cat ear headbands and paw-shaped gloves, perfectly embodying their signature cat-like charm and elegance.

The album achieved remarkable commercial success, recording over 400,000 copies in initial sales (first week sales) domestically, securing the top position on both Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart weekly album charts. 

International Success in Japan 

The group's success extended beyond Korea to international markets, particularly Japan. On the first day of release alone, the album surpassed their previous album's entire first week sales in Japan. "Bomb" claimed second place on Oricon's "Weekly Album Ranking," "Weekly Combined Album Ranking," and Billboard Japan's "Top Album Sales," demonstrating ILLIT's growing international appeal. 

Digital Chart Performance 

The title track "Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance)" has shown consistent growth on digital music charts. After entering Melon's "Top 100" at 76th position on its release day, the song has steadily climbed to reach 41st place as of 11 PM on June 27th. 

The track's performance has been particularly impressive on Apple Music Korea's "Today's Top 100," where it maintained the number one position for six consecutive days (June 18-23) and continues to hold a top-tier position.

ILLIT's first music show victory with "Borrowed Cat" marks a significant milestone in their career, showcasing their ability to combine compelling performances with commercial success.
