Historic 17-Position Jump Marks Highest Chart Position
"GOLDEN," the OST from Netflix's animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters," has reached #6 on the US Billboard main singles chart. According to the latest chart (dated July 19th) announced by American music publication Billboard through its official social media on July 15th, "GOLDEN" climbed to #6 on the main singles chart "Hot 100."
The track recorded a remarkable 17-position jump from last week's #23 to achieve its highest chart position at #6. The song has been on the chart for three weeks.
Impressive Streaming and Performance Metrics
According to Billboard, streaming numbers reached 18.8 million plays, representing a 39% increase from the previous week, along with 950,000 airplay impressions and 3,000 sales.
The achievement also marks the first time a virtual artist has entered the Hot 100 top 10 since Hannah Montana in 2009—a gap of 16 years. Previous virtual artists to reach the top 10 include The Chipmunks in the 1950s, The Archies in the 1960s-70s, The Partridge Family in the 1970s, and The Heights in 1992.
