NCT DREAM dropped a special commentary video on July 17th where they break down the time travel universe from their 5th album "Go Back To The Future." 

The Story Behind "BTTF" 

The members explained that in the "BTTF" music video, they time travel to relive happy memories but discover the past has mysteriously changed. They end up going back to August 24, 2016 (the day before their debut) and leave a hoverboard for their younger selves - a choice that ultimately leads to NCT DREAM's debut. "It's a fun time paradox where current NCT DREAM exists because of decisions made by our future selves," the group shared. 

"CHILLER" - Embracing the Present 

"CHILLER" serves as a spin-off showing their return to the "absolute present." Set in a floating hoverboard hideout, it represents choosing to enjoy the current moment rather than dwelling on the past. 

"We wanted to show confidence that NCT DREAM right now is our most shining existence," they explained. 

Message for Fans 

The members, calling themselves a "narrative restaurant," encouraged fans to watch the music videos multiple times to discover new details, just like rewatching a good movie. The album features dual title tracks "BTTF" and "CHILLER" among 9 total songs, all centered around finding their most brilliant selves through time travel.
