Cube Entertainment has confirmed that girl group (G)I-DLE will return with a full group comeback this May.
A representative from Cube Entertainment told TenAsia on the 9th, "(G)I-DLE is currently preparing for a comeback scheduled for May. We ask for your anticipation and support." According to industry sources, the group's upcoming release will be in mini album format. This comeback comes approximately 10 months after their seventh mini album 'I SWAY,' which was released in July last year.
This will mark (G)I-DLE's first full group activity since renewing their contracts with Cube Entertainment. After finalizing their contract renewal late last year, members have been pursuing various solo activities. In January, Minnie released her first solo album 'HER,' while Yuqi launched her digital single 'Radio (Dum-Dum)' in March.
(G)I-DLE had a successful 2023, releasing their second full album '2' and seventh mini album 'I SWAY,' which produced hit songs including 'Super Lady,' 'I Hate You' (literal translation: 'I Absolutely Hate Being Hurt'), and 'Klaxon.' The group also received prestigious awards including the Grand Record Award at the '2024 KGMA' (1st Korea Grand Music Awards) and Record of the Year at the '2024 MMA' (2024 Melon Music Awards).
