MEOVV's pre-release track "HANDS UP" is gaining remarkable momentum. In response to its unexpected success, the group has decided to promote it as a double title track alongside their upcoming release. 

MEOVV unveiled "HANDS UP" on April 28 as a pre-release for their first mini-album "MY EYES OPEN VVIDE," which dropped on May 12. The song captivates listeners with its unique Brazilian-inspired beat. Lyrics like "Burn all your burning heart, it will rise again anyway" and "Now let's flip everything upside down again" reflect MEOVV's determination to break boundaries and forge their own path. The repeated chorus of "HANDS UP" creates an addictive hook that resonates with fans. 

The music video for "HANDS UP" gained immediate popularity with its B-movie aesthetic that showcases MEOVV's unexpected charm. The video interestingly portrays each member training, competing, and experiencing moments of awakening. Within approximately two weeks of its release, the video surpassed 22 million views. Since their September 2023 debut, MEOVV has demonstrated a diverse musical spectrum with tracks like their unique debut song "MEOW," the minimalist pop R&B "TOXIC," and the dynamic "BODY" with its powerful energy. Fans were curious about their next musical direction, and "HANDS UP" surprised with its distinctive style, providing a refreshing experience for listeners. The song's challenge has also become a hot topic. The "HANDS UP" challenge, featuring point choreography that primarily uses hand movements, captures the song's powerful and relentless progression in a short time. Thanks to growing word-of-mouth, "HANDS UP" has made its mark on music charts. Although it didn't initially enter Melon's Weekly Top 100 chart in its first week, it debuted at #87 in its second week (May 5-11). The song has been steadily climbing the daily chart, reaching #47 on May 14. Notably, MEOVV claimed their first #1 trophy since debut when "HANDS UP" topped Mnet's "M Countdown" on May 8. 

In response to this unexpected popularity, their agency THE BLACK LABEL has made a bold strategic decision. They've designated "HANDS UP" as a double title track alongside "DROP TOP," the original title track from "MY EYES OPEN VVIDE," to maintain the song's momentum. As a result, MEOVV will continue promoting both "HANDS UP" and "DROP TOP."
