According to Spotify on May 17, BTS member V's digital single "FRI(END)S" surpassed 500 million cumulative streams as of May 15. This marks V's second solo track to achieve the 500 million streaming milestone on the world's largest music streaming platform. 

"FRI(END)S" expresses the sentiment of wanting to end a long-standing friendship to pursue a deeper relationship. The song creates a perfect harmony between sweet lyrics, a melodious tune, and V's distinctive vocal color. Upon its release in March 2024, the track made impressive chart achievements despite V not actively promoting it. The song entered the US Billboard main song chart "Hot 100" at #65 and ranked high on other major charts, including #2 on "Digital Song Sales," #3 on "Global" (excluding US), and #5 on "Global 200." 

Additionally, "FRI(END)S" reached #13 on the UK's "Official Singles Top 100," one of the world's two major pop charts alongside Billboard, demonstrating V's global influence. On detailed charts, the song topped the "Official Singles Download" and ranked #2 on "Official Singles Sales." 

Meanwhile, V has accumulated a total of 12 solo tracks with over 100 million streams on Spotify, including "Love Me Again," which has surpassed 1 billion plays on the platform.
