The world-renowned K-pop awards ceremony "MAMA AWARDS" will be held in Hong Kong this year. CJ ENM announced on the 29th that the "2025 MAMA AWARDS" will take place over two days, November 28-29, at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium. 

The "2025 MAMA AWARDS" will return to Hong Kong for the first time in seven years since 2018, featuring an unprecedented scale. In the year marking Mnet's 30th anniversary, the ceremony returns to Hong Kong, which has been both the most frequent host city for MAMA AWARDS and a pivotal K-pop performance market. 

Launched in 1999 as the "Mnet Video Music Awards," MAMA AWARDS has pioneered K-pop's globalization by being held in various regions including Macao, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Japan. As Korea's music industry grew, it rebranded from "Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS" to "MAMA AWARDS." Last year, it became the first K-pop awards ceremony to enter the United States, the world's largest music market, with relay broadcasts connecting Los Angeles and Osaka, Japan. 

Having solidified its influence and position as a global K-pop awards ceremony, MAMA AWARDS will write another chapter by returning to the Greater China region after a long absence. Hong Kong, which helped build MAMA AWARDS' history from 2012 to 2018, serves as a hub where numerous global media companies and corporations are based, offering excellent accessibility for K-pop fans worldwide and playing a crucial role in expanding K-pop's global influence. The scale will also expand approximately fourfold. Taking place at Hong Kong's new landmark mega-stadium, the ceremony is expected to feature numerous iconic scenes with original stages and distinctive production values. Hong Kong Kai Tak Stadium, which opened in March this year, is a large-scale venue capable of accommodating up to 50,000 people. 

The "2025 MAMA AWARDS" is expected to gloriously conclude the year as an awards ceremony created together with K-pop fans worldwide through real-time broadcasts across various digital platforms, extending beyond offline attendance. CJ ENM is preparing comprehensively for this global K-pop awards ceremony, which consolidates 30 years of accumulated global music business expertise, stage technology, and content capabilities.
