ENHYPEN is set to make their highly anticipated comeback, channeling vampiric desires in their latest musical venture. Following their successful performance at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last month, all eyes are on what the seven-member group will deliver with their new release. The group will drop their sixth mini-album "DESIRE: UNLEASH" on June 5th at 1 PM KST, marking their return after seven months. 

A New Chapter of Dark Romance 

True to its title meaning "desire," the eight-track album explores this central theme throughout. The album features the title track "Bad Desire (With or Without You)" alongside "Flashover," "Outside," the pre-released "Loose" from April, "Helium," and "Too Close." 

According to their agency BELIFT LAB, ENHYPEN opens a new chapter with this album, delivering a story that conveys their unique emotions about desire felt toward a loved one. The group has consistently developed a narrative across their albums, telling the story of a boy who crosses boundaries and encounters various situations while sharing love with "you" who belongs to an opposite world. 

The title track "Bad Desire (With or Without You)" is a dance-pop genre song that portrays the dominant desire of "wanting to make you a vampire" with a chic mood. Paradoxical lyrics such as "Heaven without you is hell" and "Hell with you is heaven" are delivered through ENHYPEN's emotionally compelling vocals, promising to showcase their dangerous and lethal charm. 

Coachella Success Fuels Global Recognition 

ENHYPEN recently garnered significant attention through their global activities ahead of their comeback. As the K-pop boy group with the shortest time to reach Coachella, they performed on the Sahara Stage for approximately 45 minutes on April 13th and 19th in Indio, California, creating buzz with their precise group choreography and natural stage presence that captivated audiences. 

During the Coachella performance period, "ENCHELLA" (a portmanteau of ENHYPEN and Coachella) reached number one on global real-time trends on X (formerly Twitter). Google Trends data showed that searches for "ENHYPEN" more than doubled the day after their Coachella performance, with search activity evenly distributed across the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, and South America. 

On Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, ENHYPEN's overall streaming numbers increased by approximately 20% compared to usual levels, with particularly notable growth in the United States. These results reflect the group's months of dedicated preparation for both their new album and Coachella performance. 

Record-Breaking Album Sales 

ENHYPEN achieved their first "triple million seller" status with last year's second studio album "ROMANCE: UNTOLD" and set a new record for the highest first-week sales of any K-pop repackage album with "ROMANCE: UNTOLD -daydream-" (1,406,926 copies). Their albums sold over 5.45 million copies in 2023 alone, ranking third among K-pop artists, making their upcoming album performance highly anticipated. 

High Expectations for Return 

At a concept film preview event held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 11th, ENHYPEN expressed their confidence: "After successfully completing Coachella, we wanted to show ENHYPEN through a high-quality album. We think we've created a good work that showcases these elements well. Please look forward to the album release on June 5th." 

ENHYPEN has established their team identity through a distinctive album narrative and concept based on a vampire universe. As they return after seven months, attention focuses on how they will express their desires through music in this sixth mini-album.
