Rolling Stone Praises JENNIE's R&B Innovation Rolling Stone included "Ruby" in their official "The Best Albums of 2025 So Far" list, published on their website on December 5 (local time). The prestigious music magazine praised the album for its innovative approach to contemporary R&B-pop. "Ruby interestingly reinterprets the ideas that dominated 2000s and 2010s R&B-centered pop," Rolling Stone wrote. "JENNIE not only possesses an impressive ability to command the center of candy-coated pop R&B, but also delivers moments reminiscent of the second generation of self-reflection shown in Rihanna's 2016 album 'Anti.'"

American media outlet Complex also named JENNIE's "Ruby" among their "Best Albums of 2025," stating that the album "opened a new chapter for JENNIE" and allowed her to "showcase her diverse vocal range to the fullest."
