Global K-pop superstars BLACKPINK are set to fire the opening shot of their highly anticipated DEADLINE World Tour with the premiere of a brand-new song after nearly two years and eight months away from group activities. 

YG Entertainment announced on June 23 that BLACKPINK will debut their new track for the first time during the 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE> IN GOYANG' concerts on July 5 and 6 at Goyang Main Stadium. This marks the group's return to the stage as a complete unit following an extended period focused on solo careers. 

Mystery Surrounds Highly Anticipated Comeback 

Despite the schedule, title, and concept remaining shrouded in secrecy, BLACKPINK's upcoming release has generated massive anticipation among music fans worldwide. Excitement reached fever pitch following executive producer Yang Hyun-suk's official announcement that the group's comeback was imminent, combined with reports of music video filming with renowned international directors in South Korea. 

According to YG Entertainment, "There was extensive discussion about how to present this new song, and we decided to debut it first at the Goyang concerts, which serve as the meaningful starting point of the DEADLINE tour where we will reunite with our fans." The company added that detailed information about the official release date will be announced soon. 

Record-Breaking Legacy Continues

BLACKPINK has consistently shattered records with each release throughout their career, leaving an indelible mark on K-pop history. The quartet has demonstrated formidable global impact both as a group and through individual solo activities. Expectations are mounting for what new milestones they will achieve with this complete group comeback. 

The group hasn't released an album since 2022's "Born Pink," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. However, members have been actively hinting at new music, with Lisa telling Variety in May, "Actually, we were in the studio a few days ago. We're all so super excited to get back together and go on tour. We really miss the BLINKs. We can't wait to see them." 

Massive Stadium Tour Across 16 Cities 

Following the Goyang opening shows, BLACKPINK will embark on an extensive world tour spanning 16 cities and 31 performances. The tour will include stadium-level venues across Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, reinforcing their status as global superstars. 

The Deadline World Tour marks BLACKPINK's third worldwide concert tour and fourth overall, representing their first all-stadium tour. This outing follows their record-breaking 2022-2023 BORN PINK tour, which grossed $148.3 million on 703,000 tickets sold across 29 shows, earning the group a spot on Billboard's 2023 Top Tours chart. 

Solo Success Leads to Group Reunion 

The reunion comes after approximately two years of the four members pursuing individual projects. During their time apart, Lisa, Rosé, and Jennie all released debut solo albums, while Jisoo shared a solo EP in addition to starring in acting projects. 

The DEADLINE tour represents a triumphant return for JENNIE, ROSÉ, JISOO, and LISA as they prepare to once again demonstrate their unparalleled presence as one of the world's premier musical acts. With new music and stadium-scale performances on the horizon, BLACKPINK is poised to write another chapter in their already legendary career.
