K-Pop Icon Captivates 36,000 Fans Across Three Days in Taipei

G-DRAGON has taken Taiwan by storm. The K-pop superstar held his "G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch]" at Taipei Arena from July 11th to 13th, meeting with approximately 36,000 Taiwanese fans across the three-day run.

Unprecedented Media Coverage and Fan Support

Major Taiwanese TV news outlets and various local media extensively covered G-DRAGON's arrival, concerts, and exhibitions, demonstrating intense public interest. Most notably, in an unprecedented move for a Korean artist, China Times featured G-DRAGON across its entire front page with a special feature article.

Fans welcomed G-DRAGON's visit by filling Taiwan's streets with electronic billboards, banners, bus wrap advertisements, and dedicated mural zones featuring the artist. Numerous audience members were spotted attending the concerts in G-DRAGON cosplay, drawing significant attention and showcasing the depth of local fandom.

Spectacular Performance with New Visual Concepts

In response to this overwhelming support, G-DRAGON delivered professional, high-energy performances that generated explosive audience reactions. Notably departing from his trademark red rose jacket, he showcased a new jacket featuring colorful roses in various hues, capturing audience attention with this fresh visual concept.

His blue-violet hair color also drew significant notice as he filled over two hours of stage time solo with his distinctive musicality and charisma, sending audiences' heart rates soaring. The show featured cutting-edge technology including artificial intelligence and various tech elements, combined with real band sounds to artistically interpret philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophical concept of Übermensch, creating an immersive performance that held audiences captivated throughout.

Intimate Fan Interactions and Local Tributes

To connect more closely with audiences, G-DRAGON once again took flight on the "Übermensch Arm Crane," following his previous use of this dramatic entrance in Macau. For local fans, he performed "月亮代表我的心" (The Moon Represents My Heart), the OST from the film "Comrades: Almost a Love Story," bringing the venue's energy to its absolute peak.

Complete Sellout Success and Exhibition Phenomenon

The Taipei concerts achieved complete sellout status with all 36,000 tickets sold, while fans unable to secure tickets reportedly filled the entire lobby area in front of the box office. Additionally, the media exhibition "G-DRAGON Media Exhibition: Übermensch" set to begin July 18th at Taipei 101, Taiwan's iconic landmark, caused the ticketing website to crash within just 10 minutes of sales opening, with approximately one month's worth of exhibition tickets selling out completely within 20 minutes.

Continuing Global Tour Journey

Having successfully completed shows in Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, Sydney, Melbourne, and now Taipei, G-DRAGON will continue his tour with performances in Kuala Lumpur on July 19th and 20th, followed by shows in Jakarta, Hong Kong across Asia, Newark, Las Vegas, Los Angeles in the United States, and Paris, France as part of his third world tour "G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch]."
