K-pop girl group drops empowering new single ahead of third Japanese album release 

IVE has pre-released the title track "Be Alright" from their upcoming third Japanese album of the same name, set for release on July 30. The group also unveiled an accompanying music video that showcases their role as supportive guardians. 

Music Video Concept: IVE as "Rei's Guardians" 

The "Be Alright" music video features a heartwarming storyline where IVE members appear as guardian angels to fellow member Rei, who is struggling before an important job interview. Acting as reliable supporters, the members help organize Rei's room, choose her outfit, and accompany her to the interview venue. 

The video captures IVE's stunning visuals and cool, chic charm through group choreography sequences set in Rei's home. A particularly striking element is the perspective shots from Rei's viewpoint, which adds wit and visual interest to the video's narrative. 

Message of Courage and Independence 

"Be Alright" embodies IVE's signature confident and independent spirit. In the music video, the members display fearless attitudes even in the interview setting, drawing pictures and dancing without concern for judgment. The climactic scene shows them dancing together among falling piles of clothes, symbolizing true freedom. 

Through "Be Alright," IVE delivers an empowering message: "Don't fear change and move forward with courage." Since their Japanese debut, IVE has achieved remarkable success in the market. Their debut single "ELEVEN" earned recognition from the Recording Industry Association of Japan as a "Gold Disc." Their first Japanese album "WAVE" dominated local charts, reaching #1 on Oricon's daily and weekly album charts, Tower Records' nationwide comprehensive album chart, and Billboard Japan's weekly top album sales chart. 

Their second Japanese album "ALIVE," released in August last year, also claimed the top spot on Oricon's daily album chart and Tower Records' daily pre-order sales chart upon release. The album further solidified their global presence by ranking #21 on Billboard Japan's 2024 annual "Hot Albums" chart. 

Historic Achievements and Milestones 

IVE's Japanese success extends beyond album sales. Shortly after their Japanese debut, they performed at Japan's prestigious year-end music festival "Kohaku Uta Gassen" on NHK, marking an impressive milestone for newcomers. 

During their first world tour "IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE,'" the group made history as the first Korean artist to perform at the K-Arena Yokohama venue.
