EXO's Kai has made a powerful return to the K-pop scene just two months after completing his military service in February. On April 21, he held a showcase for his fourth mini-album "Wait On Me" at Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul, hosted by fellow EXO member Suho. The event highlighted their strong teamwork, with Suho calling Kai a "trending artist" and Kai expressing gratitude for Suho's support despite his busy schedule.
During the showcase, Kai shared that he felt both nervous and excited about his return, comparing it to his debut feelings. He introduced the diverse tracks on his new album, which comes two years after his previous release "Rover." The title track "Wait On Me" is a pop song with Afrobeat rhythms, featuring choreography that visually represents the concept of waiting. The album includes six other songs: "Adult Swim," "Walls Don't Talk," "Pressure," "Ridin'," "Off and Away," and "Flight to Paris."
Kai delivered an impressive performance with ten dancers, showcasing the high-quality choreography and stage presence that has established him as one of K-pop's premier performers. The music video for "Wait On Me" uses a solar eclipse concept to express the "art of waiting" mentioned in the lyrics.
